Here’s what to include, how to pack it, and why you should keep it with you, not in the truck.
What Is a First-Night Essentials Box?
It’s a clearly labelled box (or suitcase) that contains everything you’ll need in the first 24–48 hours after your move. Think of it like an overnight bag for your entire household — practical, accessible, and ready to go.
What to Include
For Everyone:

Bed linen, pillowcases and one set of towels

Pyjamas and a change of clothes

Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant)
